Bell & Howell Inserter
BELL & HOWELL MAILSTAR 500
From the moment you see the Bell and Howell Mailstar 500 Mail Inserting System you will appreciate its clean, modern lines. Underneath that sleek streamlined exterior is an even more advanced design because this system has been re-engineered from the ground up to bring you the very latest in automated efficiency. Yet it still offers all the durability and performance you’ve come to expect.
Durable, Low Maintenance Construction
With its heavy cast-iron frame construction, the Bell and Howell Mailstar 500 Mail Inserting System is built to absorb vibrations that accompany continuous high volume production. Secured to this frame is a modern operational design with significantly fewer working parts bringing greater reliability and increased up-time. Operator lubrication of moving parts is greatly reduced and each Bell and Howell Mailstar 500 mail inserting system is electronically controlled with the latest state of the art design.
Increased Reliability and Performance
The Bell and Howell Mailstar 500 mail inserting system ushers in a whole new era in mail processing performance. A quieter infinitely variable DC Integrated Synchronous Drive delivers precise speed over the entire 0 to 10,000 cycling range. And since the Bell and Howell Mailstar 500 is built with more modular components and fewer working parts, you can expect greater reliability, improved quality and optimum up-time. Best of all, you get all these advantages in a system that boast a peak processing speed of 10,000 cycles per hour. Models with four, six, eight, ten, and twelve insert stations are available, as well as larger configurations when required.
The Bell and Howell Mailstar 500 inserting system has raised the industry standard with innovative exclusives which deliver greater operator flexibility, convenience, and reliability.
Automatic Detection Setups
Located at each insert station, the operator simply presses a button to automatically set the precise calibration for every activated insert station. Dual detection lights indicate “misses” or “doubles”.
A simple, centralized control panel increases operator friendliness. An improved sloped hood design improves operator access to insert hoppers for ease of front loading. The system also allows complete visibility of operation for maximum performance.
Electronically Activated Jaw Opening
Reduced torque and wind-up generated by high processing speeds, the redesigned gripper jaw arms minimize inertia. This provides for a smoother motion for less wear and tear and improved operational performance.
